Paul's Mighty Men and Mighty Women: Winning Spiritual Victories

This book adapts the descriptor used of the thirty warriors who brought David to the throne and served him throughout his royal reign. They were tireless, faithful, and courageous. They were known as David’s Mighty Men. The Apostle Paul’s mighty men and women demonstrated their strength not with the sword but in making the gospel known. Each chapter is devoted to one of Paul’s co-workers, such as Barnabas, John Mark, Silas, Timothy, Lydia, Priscilla, and Phoebe, to name a few. The Scriptures provide clear statements of how their love for Jesus overflowed in Christlike humility, which empowered them to serve together joyously and fruitfully. This book has been written to be used by individuals and groups. Though written by a Muslim-background Believer to other MBBs, any reader may find this material edifying. The discussion questions at the end of each chapter promote reflection or conversation. Each of Paul’s mighty men and women contribute something that we can learn from 2,000 years later.
